Rendering & Exporting Video
Export to MP4, MOV, WebM, or GIF and track the background render.
# Rendering & Exporting Video When your [timeline](#/help/studio-motion-timeline) is ready, **render** it to a finished video file. ## Choose a format & quality - **MP4** — the safe default for social and web. - **MOV** — high quality for further editing. - **WebM** — efficient web playback. - **GIF** — short, silent loops. Pick your **quality** before rendering. ## Renders run in the background A video render is queued and runs in the **background**, so you can keep working. Track its **status** and **download** the file when it finishes — finished renders are saved on the project so you can grab them again later. ## After export Post the video to connected accounts via [social posting](#/help/studio-social-posting) or schedule it on the [Content Calendar](#/help/social-content-calendar). For still images instead, use [design export](#/help/studio-exporting-designs).
