# Commissions & Tiers You earn a **commission** on every ticket sold through your [referral link or code](#/help/sales-referral-links). ## How it's calculated Commission is set by the organizer per event or team. It may be a percentage of the ticket price or a flat amount per ticket. The exact rate is shown alongside your assigned events. ## Tiers Some programs use **tiers** — sell more and your rate or rewards step up. Watch your [earnings](#/help/sales-earnings-payouts) and the [leaderboard](#/help/sales-leaderboards) to see how close you are to the next tier. ## When it's counted A sale only counts once the buyer's order is **confirmed**. Refunded or cancelled orders are removed from your commissionable total. Track each attributed sale in your earnings view.
