Capacity Holds

# Capacity Holds A **hold** sets aside ticket inventory so it isn't sold online — useful for artist comps, press, sponsors, or in-person box-office sales. ## Place a hold You can hold inventory at the tier level, or hold individual issued tickets with a **reason** and optional **expiry**. Held tickets do not count as available in the public checkout. ## Release a hold Release a hold to return inventory to general sale, or to convert it into a [box-office walk-up](#/help/box-office-overview). ## See current holds The **holds summary** is available per event in [Box Office](#/help/box-office-overview) and as the **Holds summary** report in the [Reporting Hub](#/help/reporting-hub-overview).
