# Create Your First Event From **Events**, click **Create Event** to open the multi-step builder. ## Step 1 — Basics - **Title** — a clear, searchable name. A URL **slug** is generated automatically and must be unique. - **Category** — pick from the 11 available categories. - **Description** — supports rich text; this shows on the public page. ## Step 2 — Date & venue - Set the **date, time, and timezone**. - Add the **venue** name and full address. The map uses the address lat/lng. - For repeating events, see [recurring events](#/help/recurring-events). ## Step 3 — Media Upload a **cover image** (max 5MB, JPG/PNG), optional gallery images, and a video URL. Use [Cobra Studio](#/help/cobra-studio-overview). ## Step 4 — Tickets Add one or more [ticket tiers](#/help/ticket-tiers-and-inventory) — name, price, quantity, max per order, and sales window. ## Step 5 — Add-ons & questions Optionally add [add-ons](#/help/add-ons) (merch, parking, drinks) and [custom attendee questions](#/help/custom-questions). ## Step 6 — Save & publish Save as a **Draft** while you work, then publish when ready — see [event status](#/help/publishing-and-event-status).
